Auldstone Cellars was established in 1987 when Michael and Nancy Reid bought a historic 19th-century winery at Taminick in the Glenrowan region, founded in 1891. Michael made full-bodied reds, sparkling Shiraz, Riesling and fortifieds from about 20 hectares of vines.
The first wines were released in 1989. After 30 years the Reids sold the property in 2017, and it is now an events venue called Auldstone Farm.
