Barwang is a historic vineyard in the Hilltops region of New South Wales, with more than half a century of single-varietal wines under a name that means 'place of water'.
The Bowman family, who have farmed the area for six generations and were long-time neighbours of Barwang, took over the vineyard at the end of 2021. Wendy and James Bowman work with winemakers who know the site well from their time with McWilliam's and Barwang Wines.
A new range was released in 2025: Impromptu Sparkling Chardonnay, Rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, from the 2022 to 2024 vintages.
