Blue Pyrenees Estate has been making wine in Victoria's Pyrenees region since 1963, entirely from grapes grown on the estate just outside the town of Avoca. The estate's many slopes, elevations and microclimates, combined with French winemaking traditions in how the vines were planted, allow it to make a full range of red, white and sparkling wines from one property.
Its best-known wines are the Estate Red and the Richardson Reserve series, made only in great vintages from the most characterful batches and named in tribute to the late Colin Richardson. The range also includes more experimental styles and cellar-door-only wines.
The cellar door is open daily for tastings, lunch and grazing plates, with walk-ins welcome.
