Boston Bay Wines is a winery and cellar door near Port Lincoln on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, overlooking the Southern Ocean and known for award-winning Riesling. In 2023 it was bought by the Allen family, whose wine story began in the Adelaide Hills with what is now Barristers Block Wines, and goes back further to their first plantings at a family vineyard in Wrattonbully in 1997.
With their cool-climate Adelaide Hills vineyard at Woodside, the family has built a balanced range of red, white and sparkling South Australian wines, and is bringing a new approach to wine tourism in the region.
The family are involved in every part of the business and often pour at the cellar door, which offers hosted tastings and relaxed lunches of pizza, fresh oysters and share plates.
