Brave Goose Vineyard

Brave Goose Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard and cellar door in the hills of the Tallarook Ranges, an hour north of Melbourne, on the family's historic property Glendoxey. The vines were planted in 1988 by Dr John Stocker, a former chairman of the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation, and his wife Joanne.

Two decades on, they handed over to their daughter, winemaker Nina Stocker, and her husband John Day, who grow Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Viognier and Gamay. Nina has made wine in France, Italy, Portugal and New Zealand, prefers taste, smell and feel to recipes, and now makes wine for eight labels exported across Australia and the UK. The Gosling range uses fruit from other central Victorian vineyards.

The cellar door hosts relaxed open days with markets, pop-up galleries and live music.
