Brothers at War

Brothers at War began in 2013 with a tonne of Shiraz, as nothing more than a fun weekend project for two brothers in their twenties. In 2014 they added a parcel of Cabernet, and the 'Fist Fight' Shiraz and 'I'm Always Right' Cabernet were born. Winemaker Angus is the youngest son of a Barossa winemaking pioneer.

Picking up others along the way, including grape grower Chris Alderton, the brothers have grown their project into a shared passion for world-class wines from small parcels of exceptional fruit. Now in their thirties and fathers themselves, they have a string of award-winning wines. They operate three vineyards in the Eden Valley, growing Riesling, Sangiovese, Grenache, Mataro, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

The cellar door on Murray Street, Tanunda, is in a building whose history goes back to the town's settlement in the 1850s.
