Campbells

Campbells is a proudly Australian-owned Rutherglen winery, run by five generations of the Campbell family as a true estate operation where, in their words, the wine is everything. It is now owned by fifth-generation sisters Jane and Julie Campbell, daughters of Colin and Prue: Jane is managing director and oversees the Campbells brand, and Julie is the winemaker and custodian of the iconic Campbells style.

The fourth generation, brothers Colin (winemaker) and Malcolm (viticulturist), worked side by side to build a legacy of regionally distinctive, high-quality wines known around the world, and both received the Order of Australia Medal for their contribution. Colin was also a driving force in the industry through Winemakers of Rutherglen and the national winemakers' federation, guiding the next generation until his death in 2019. Campbells is a member of Australia's First Families of Wine, a group of 12 multi-generational family wineries.

The soul of Campbells lies in the 'sleeping giants' aged in the heart of its cellars: its world-famous Rutherglen Muscats and Topaques. The sisters have added Tempranillo and Viognier to the traditional Rutherglen treasures of Shiraz and Durif, with more to come, and the cellar door offers tastings and an insight into a true working winery.
