Castelli Estate

Castelli Estate was established in 2007 in the hills above Denmark in Western Australia's Great Southern, to honour the ethos of the Castelli family's father and grandfather, Germino Castelli. It draws on generations of Italian winemaking tradition while embracing the region's cool climate, ocean influence and varied terrain. The estate remains family owned, although it is no longer run day to day by the family.

Its top wines are released under the Il Liris label, including a Chardonnay grown on the estate from the famous Gin Gin clone and Burgundian clones 95 and 96, and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Frankland River. Castelli also works with local growers across the Great Southern, making Mount Barker Riesling, Pemberton Chardonnay, and Shiraz and Cabernet from Frankland River, while its Empirica collection experiments with small parcels from top vineyards.

The family's aim is to share handcrafted wines that celebrate place, tradition and the generous spirit of a life well lived.
