Deep Woods Estate

Deep Woods Estate was established in 1987 and has become one of Margaret River's most awarded and highly regarded wineries, described by the Halliday Wine Companion as producing some of the country's finest wines. Set among rolling country surrounded by towering jarrah and marri forests and cooled by Indian Ocean breezes, it has a state-of-the-art winery and a team that blends traditional and modern techniques.

After the Fogarty group bought the estate in 2005, the vineyards were reworked with a new sustainable maintenance program to produce smaller crops of higher-quality fruit, and since 2024 they have been certified under Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. The forests and salt-laden breezes give the wines a signature purity: Chardonnay with sculpted citrus and fine oak, and Cabernet Sauvignon layered with cassis, graphite and length. The winemaking team is led by a former James Halliday Australian Winemaker of the Year.

Deep Woods is arguably among Australia's most consistent producers of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and is the biggest producer of rosé in Western Australia. Its Reserve Chardonnay 2024 was ranked seventh in James Suckling's Top 100 Wines of Australia, the highest-ranked Western Australian Chardonnay, and the Shiraz and Harmony Rosé have each scored 95 points from Halliday.
