Dookie Campus Winery is part of the University of Melbourne's Dookie campus in Victoria's Goulburn Valley, a 2,440-hectare property with merino sheep, an orchard, a robotic dairy, a winery and a bush reserve. Dookie's link with the university began in 1910, when agricultural science students spent a year there.
The wines are made under winemaker Chris Barnes, with whites from the campus vineyard and reds from the Tallis family's vineyards a few kilometres away.
One wine is named after Bertie, Chris's black Labrador and the winery's much-loved mascot, who helped students with everything from pruning to vintage until he died in April 2025.
