Dream Bird is a Margaret River wine label that took flight in 2015 as its winemaker's own creative journey, born from a promise to a younger sister, Birdie, to live life to the fullest.
After studying horticulture at the University of Western Australia, the winemaker moved to Dunsborough in 1999, worked for a viticulturist, and in 2001 did a first vintage in Beaujolais, which sealed a love of winemaking. Back in the South West came a role at Vasse Felix, oenology studies at Charles Sturt University and winemaking stints at other wineries.
With 25 years in the industry and viticulture as the foundation, Dream Bird works closely with growers to source each variety from its ideal pocket of Western Australia's South West, making honest, expressive and thoughtful wines.
