Eden Hall is a family winery in the Eden Valley high country, founded by David and Mardi Hall. David, a consultant spinal surgeon, followed other doctors in the Australian wine story who went from enjoying fine wine to making it. In the early 1990s the couple saw that the Eden Valley, with vineyards scattered among rocky outcrops and ancient red gums and a long reputation for Riesling, was ideal for premium fruit.
In 1996 they bought the Avon Brae property. Viticulturist Dan Falkenberg farms its 33-hectare vineyard with a regenerative approach that goes beyond sustainability.
Eden Hall won the 2023 Environmental Excellence Award from the South Australian Wine Industry Association.
