Fox Creek Wines is an iconic, award-winning McLaren Vale brand, crafting fine regional wines since it was started by Helen and Dr Jim Watts in 1984. It has earned a strong following for its Reserve Shiraz, recognised in the Outstanding category of Langton's Classification, and for the Vixen sparkling red, a blend of Shiraz with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The winery changed hands in 2020, and again in 2025, when the Maxwell family, long established in McLaren Vale and admirers of Fox Creek's wines, became custodians of the brand. They have committed to respecting its history while breathing new life into the business: the wines continue to be made in McLaren Vale, with long-term growers supplying premium fruit and the styles kept true to what Circle Club members know and love.
Fox Creek's winemaking blends fruit from vineyards across the Vale for variety of tannin and flavour, and its oak philosophy is to support each vineyard's character rather than swamp it, matching barrel types to what each parcel needs. The cellar door welcomes visitors in McLaren Vale.
