Golden Child was started in 2016 by winemaker James Hamilton and his father, vigneron David Hamilton. Most of the fruit comes from the family vineyard David planted at Kuitpo in the southern Adelaide Hills in 1997.
The wines are hand-picked, wild-fermented and made with little sulphur. They include Lazy Sunday Light Red, Party Juice, Island Life Fumé Blanc, Gamay and Beach Bum Rosé.
