Brothers Chris and John Hancock established the label in 2007 after purchasing the La Colline Vineyard. The wines are crafted at the Oatley family winery by winemakers Chris Hancock and Larry Cherubino.
La Colline is planted with Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon vines between 15 and 80 years of age. Winemaking incorporates this estate fruit alongside parcels from other local growers. The brand's first commercial offerings appeared in 2015 with a 2014 Shiraz Grenache and Cabernet Touriga, and distribution is handled by Oatley Fine Wine Merchants.
