Harvey River Estate

Harvey River Estate is a family winery in Harvey, at the northern end of Western Australia's Geographe wine region, a town rich in entrepreneurial spirit built by pre and post-war immigrants, many from Italy. One of them was Giuseppe Sorgiovanni, who started the family's farming legacy on the banks of the Harvey River in 1928. Weekend winemaking with uncles and grandparents was a much-loved family tradition, complete with truckloads of Cabernet and Shiraz brought down from the Swan Valley and a fierce competition to make the best bottle.

Giuseppe's son Kevin grew up among the family's Harvey orchards, his first memory sitting in a crate of oranges while his mother packed fruit, and the family business gave him a love of the land and a strong grounding in agriculture, business and exports, on which he built Harvey River Estate. His daughter Juliette, the third generation, now works alongside him at the helm, with his other daughters and wife close by to help.

The family's wines are handcrafted in Harvey as expressive examples of the Geographe region, with elegance, personality and pristine fruit flavours.
