Hemera Estate

Hemera Estate is at Lyndoch at the southern end of the Barossa Valley, on a property that dates back to 1855, with vines planted soon after. Most of its wines are made from grapes grown on the estate, supplemented by fruit from trusted growers with vineyards more than 100 years old.

The estate vineyard grows Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which make single-variety wines and blends, along with Shiraz, Mataro and old-vine Grenache planted in 1912. Winemaker Jason Barrette has more than 30 vintages of experience in France, the USA, Portugal and Canada, including 11 years as a Penfolds winemaker working on wines such as Grange, Bin 707 and St Henri. His philosophy is to make wines that respect their variety, vineyard and region.

Hemera has won more than 600 Australian and international awards. Its tasting room offers a relaxed southern Barossa experience, and bookings are advised.
