Jack Estate sits in the heart of the Coonawarra wine region. It was established in July 2011 by a Melbourne family with extensive interests in agriculture and horticulture, through the purchase of the historic Mildara Blass winery, built in 1963.
The name Jack is of ancient Celtic origin, meaning 'healthy, strong and full of vital energy', which reflects the family's century-long connection with the land. Operating its own historic winery gives the small team complete control over winemaking, and Jack Estate also offers contract winemaking and processing for others.
The winery is HACCP food-safety certified and a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
