Jarrah Ridge Winery

Jarrah Ridge Winery is a multi-award-winning boutique winery in the heart of the Swan Valley, Western Australia's oldest wine region with more than 180 years of winemaking history. The vineyard was first planted in the 1930s by an Italian family, and its oldest vines are now more than 90 years old, yielding small crops of concentrated fruit. The cellar door opened in 2006.

Jimmy Wong and Mark Morton took over the vineyard and business in 2013 after the previous owner died. With considerable effort, investment and time they turned it around, modernising the labels and marketing, building exports to Asia, and returning Jarrah Ridge to award-winning form. It is now home to several brands, including Jarrah Ridge, Zin and Old Wood, exported to China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

The philosophy, like the jarrah tree unique to Western Australia, is to make each bottle distinctive, selecting small parcels of the best fruit from across the state to show regional and varietal character. The Swan Valley's warm Mediterranean climate and deep, fertile soils suit a wide range of styles, and the cellar door also offers marinated olives, local cheeses and a stroll among old vines.
