Kim and Erica Crawford established Kim Crawford Wines in Auckland in 1996. In 2000, they bought vineyards in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley.
The producer grows and sources fruit across both Marlborough and Hawke's Bay. Its range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Rosé. Wines from the label have appeared in the Wine Spectator Top 100 four times.
