Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm is in Queensland's Scenic Rim near Mount Alford, where James Cavanagh planted 2.5 acres of wine grapes on Teviot Brook as early as 1877.
Today the property has a six-hectare vineyard and lavender fields with views of the Scenic Rim mountains, offering a taste of southern France close to Brisbane.
The award-winning cellar door and restaurant, in rustic contemporary buildings, sits alongside a lavender shop.
