La Linea is an Adelaide Hills label focused on Iberian grape varieties, led by winemakers Peter Leske and Alanna Pepper. Peter graduated in oenology from Roseworthy in 1983 and has worked at Mitchelton, Grosset, in California and elsewhere, spent five years running the technical services group at the Australian Wine Research Institute, and spent a decade as chief winemaker at Nepenthe, where he built the winery and established its reputation.
Alanna first worked with Peter in 2000 on a school work-experience placement at Nepenthe. She graduated in viticulture and oenology from the University of Adelaide in 2017, winning the David Bradley Memorial Prize, then rose quickly at Revenir, worked a vintage in Sonoma, and discovered a passion for Iberian varieties.
In 2021 Alanna joined Peter as a director and winemaker of La Linea.
