Lion Mill Vineyards is in the Darling Range east of Perth, planted on land first selected in the 1870s. The area began as an important timber-milling district, centred on the Lion Mill, later owned by Robert Bunning's Perth Jarrah Mills, and later became a fruit-growing and small-farming area.
The cellar door looks out over the vineyard and the valley, offering relaxed, informative tastings.
