Maude Wines is a family winery in Wanaka, Central Otago, New Zealand. Dawn and Terry left medicine to plant the Mt Maude vineyard in 1994, one of the first ten vineyards in the region, on steep north-facing slopes in the Maungawera Valley.
Their daughter Sarah-Kate studied winemaking and spent ten years in Australia's Hunter Valley, where she met her husband, winemaker Dan Dineen; both worked under Len Evans. In 2006 they returned to Wanaka, built a winery and created the Maude brand.
Maude now sources from vineyards across Central Otago, and its Reserve wines come only from the four-hectare Mt Maude vineyard.
