Morris of Rutherglen has been making world-renowned fortified wines since 1859. Over more than 165 years and six generations, the Morris family has become one of Australia's most prominent winemaking families, and the brand describes itself as Australia's most awarded wine and whisky producer.
Morris is synonymous with Rutherglen's great fortified wines, especially Muscat and Topaque, and also makes full-bodied red wines. Charles Tempest Morris guided the winery through depression and war and introduced its spirits still, originally used for neutral grape spirit. Building on that heritage, Morris now makes a distinctive Australian single malt whisky from Australian ingredients, matured in barrels from the family cooperage and finished in casks that once held its fortified wines.
