Mosquito Hill Wines

Mosquito Hill Wines was established in 1994 by the Jamieson family on the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula of South Australia, inspired by the French regions of Burgundy and Champagne and specialising in their cool-climate varieties. Founder and chief winemaker Glyn Jamieson, a surgeon by profession, fell in love with these styles in the early 1990s while on study leave in France with his late wife Elizabeth.

Back in Australia in 1994, the couple bought a 200-acre property and planted vineyards. Seven years later they built a winery on site, and Glyn, who also holds a winemaking degree, has made the wines ever since, aiming for the style of Champagne and Burgundy while keeping the character of the site.

In 2022 Daniel Franklin joined Glyn, and together they continue to make and sell wines inspired by these French regions.
