Mount Camel Ridge Estate is a Heathcote vineyard deliberately established on an environmentally sustainable basis, aiming to be part of the solution to climate change and water use. Its goal goes beyond organic principles to the long-term sustainability of the soil and environment.
The east-facing site rises from 180 to 300 metres, well drained, catching morning sun and sheltered from the hot afternoon sun by the hill.
The vines are cane-pruned with very low yields, about a tonne per acre, for flavour and depth.
