Mount Horrocks is a Clare Valley winery owned and run by winemaker Stephanie, who bought it in 1993 with a vision of truly exceptional handcrafted wines. In 1998 she restored Auburn's historic railway station as the cellar door.
Her nine-hectare estate sits at the highest elevation in Watervale, and she has spent decades restoring it with certified organic and biodynamic practices, one of only two local wineries to achieve this. She manages every vine closely, and the wines are hand-picked and made with traditional, no-compromise methods as food-friendly wines of structure and generous fruit.
Her Cordon Cut Riesling has won trophies from Decanter and the International Wine Challenge and was served at the Lord Mayor of London's luncheon for Queen Elizabeth's 80th birthday. Visitors can taste at the station or on its platform and explore the biodynamic herb garden.
