Orbis is a regenerative vineyard and winery on the elevated slopes of McLaren Vale, making expressive estate-grown wines with minimal intervention. Owner Kendall, a lifelong wine lover and former intensive care nurse, went looking for an environmental project bigger than her home veggie garden and found a vineyard, which her family took on with enthusiasm.
Brad brings a second career in wine after a long one as a consulting civil engineer on major infrastructure projects. The vineyard is farmed organically, with livestock and attention to biodiversity, and is certified under Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, with a goal of carbon neutrality by 2030.
Orbis won the 2023 SAWIA Environmental Excellence Award in the small-to-medium winery category, was named among Australia's Top 50 Vineyards in 2021, and has been a Young Gun of Wine Vineyard of the Year finalist every year from 2021 to 2025.
