Parawa Estate

Peter Simic established Parawa Estate, situated on a six-hectare vineyard in the Parawa Valley. Positioned south of McLaren Vale on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula, the site began as a three-hectare planting in 2001.

The property features multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Additional fruit is sourced from the Simic family vineyard to make the Parawa Estate Ingalalla label. This includes the 2007 Ingalalla Grand Reserve, which debuted in China at $1,100 per bottle when the vines were seven years old, according to a 2012 reference. The wines follow a 'French Style, Australian Character' approach, exhibiting traits similar to a Bordeaux Left Bank Médoc.
