Passage Wines

Passage Wines was established by winemaker Kaden Boekhoorn, beginning with the 2024 vintage. Boekhoorn moved into winemaking in Gippsland following nearly a decade working in specialty coffee.

Fruit is gathered from dry-grown Baw Baw Shire sites, including Willow Grove and Bull Swamp, where an own-rooted 1981 planting yields Syrah. Boekhoorn also manages a small pinot noir block near Warragul by hand without tractors. In the winery, ferments rely on wild yeast without temperature control, and the wines mature mostly in used French oak barrels.
