Scout Wines

Established in 2017 by winemaking partners Sarah Adamson and Greg Lane, Scout Wines is named after Jean Louise 'Scout' Finch from Harper Lee's novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Based in Blenheim, Marlborough, the duo operates across the South Island of New Zealand and South Australia. Their first commercial wine was a 2017 Adelaide Hills Chardonnay, made while Adamson worked at Deviation Road.

The label gathers small fruit parcels from South Australia alongside New Zealand regions including Waipara and Central Otago, specifically Bannockburn and Lowburn. Their winemaking approach focuses on low cropping, wild fermentation, and minimal additions, while avoiding fining and filtration.
