The Gurdies Winery is situated in South Gippsland’s Bass Coast area, overlooking Western Port Bay. The site was originally set up over 45 years ago, during the early 1980s. Wendy Heaney and Bruce Preston currently run the enterprise. They first relocated to the area in 2012 to purchase a neglected, compact vineyard, later launching Heaston Estate in 2015. In September 2020, they acquired The Gurdies Winery, successfully reuniting the two neighbouring sites.
The property produces a diverse range of grapes and finished drinks. The available varieties encompass Riesling, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Additionally, the portfolio features Rosé, alongside Sparkling Red and Gurdies Spritz.
