The Lost Plot began in 2014 when Stuart and Rachel Nix joined Paul Old, an Australian winemaker based in France, to make French-inspired wines from Australian fruit, seeking out interesting varieties from good growers.
In 2018 Paul made his own winery in the south of France, Les Clos Perdus, his priority, and handed the winemaking to Matt Campbell, who has made The Lost Plot since.
