Tractorless Vineyard is a Southern Highlands winery at Berrima, New South Wales. Its winemaker learned with Tim Kirk at Clonakilla while studying oenology at Charles Sturt University, then worked for Pernod Ricard and overseas before returning to contract winemaking in the Southern Highlands in 2010-11.
Seeing the region's potential for cool-climate Pinot Noir and Riesling, and wanting wines as close to carbon neutral as possible, he named the project Tractorless Vineyard in 2012. He uses biodynamic techniques and sheep in the vineyard, greatly reducing tractor use.
The cellar door offers award-winning wines and a small farm shop.
