Vale Creek Wines is a boutique cool-climate winery near Bathurst in central New South Wales, specialising in Italian varieties such as Barbera, Sangiovese and Vermentino.
In 2021 the Woods family, long-time Bathurst residents with rural roots in Wagga Wagga and Bathurst, became its custodians. Jacqueline runs the cellar door, while Gerard tends the vines and the cattle on the neighbouring grazing block. Winemaker Nadja, a Charles Sturt graduate who worked in California, South Africa and Bordeaux and at Philip Shaw Wines in Orange, makes the wines.
Vale Creek is a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings with cheese platters and walk the vineyard.
