After arriving from Italy in 1950, Antonio Zannino set up a small vineyard on a Herne Hill property in the Swan Valley, which was established in 1955. At first, the site mainly produced table and dried fruit grapes. In 1978, Charlie Zannino finished winemaking studies at the University of Western Australia, constructed a cellar door, and shifted the vines to focus mostly on wine grapes. Today, Charlie and Sally Zannino operate the business alongside their sons, Anthony and Trent.
Every grape utilised by Valley Wines comes directly from the estate property. The producer supplies table wines in bulk by the litre, as well as traditional fortified wine styles.
