Wedded to the Weather is a winemaker's personal outlet for creativity, fun and learning, begun in 2018 in the spare bedroom of a suburban home with help from family and friends. In 2023 the operation moved to the Barossa Valley, sharing a shed with three other like-minded winemakers.
The wines are made in tiny, very hands-on batches of no more than 500 to 600 kilograms of grapes, mostly organically grown, with wild ferments, caps pressed by hand, and no fining or filtering. The range covers pét-nat, orange and still wines.
Almost everything is made from Mediterranean varieties, in the belief that as the climate warms, grapes from hotter places are the wines of the future, and because making wines others don't make is fun.
