Wimmera Hills is a family vineyard and winery in Victoria's Pyrenees region, near Elmhurst, worked by three generations. Winemaker Benjamin Baker makes the wines by hand, combining traditional and modern techniques to soften the austere Pyrenees style.
The family calculated the carbon footprint of its 2007 vintage and found the wine carbon neutral until bottling, as the vines offset fuel and power use.
The range includes Shiraz and a dry rosé called Nude. The cellar door is open by phone appointment.
