Wooing Tree is owned and run by Steve and Thea Farquharson, who set it up with family members Jane and Geoff Bews. They bought the Cromwell land in 2002 with help from viticulturist Robin Dicey and released their first vintage in 2005.
In 2021 they bought the Pink Moon Vineyard below the Pisa Range and moved 20,000 vines there from the original site. The wines are made at the VinPro winery in Cromwell, with Austin Black head winemaker from 2025.
