Yering Station

Yering Station is the site of Victoria's first vineyard, planted in 1838 by the Scottish-born Ryrie brothers in the Yarra Valley. In the 19th century its wines won international acclaim, before the region's wine industry faded in the early 1900s; vines returned to the property as part of the Yarra Valley's revival.

Today Yering Station is family owned and operated. Its winemaking philosophy rests on time, place and effort, and it is known for cool-climate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz, including Shiraz Viognier, from its estate vineyards.

Both the vineyards and winery are certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. Visitors can taste in the historic cellar door, and the estate also has a restaurant with views across the valley.
