Colvin Wines

Colvin Wines is made exclusively from the De Beyers vineyard, one of the oldest in the Hunter Valley. Since 1991 John and Robyn Colvin have restored it from neglect, recognising its capacity for world-class wine.

The Semillon comes from vines more than 50 years old and develops the golden, toasty character prized in aged Hunter Semillon, while the limited Shiraz, from vines more than 40 years old on rich clay soils, sells out every year. A small patch of Chardonnay planted in 1972 produced its first Colvin vintage in 2015.

Inspired by the lighter, fresher wines he enjoyed in Tuscany, John also sourced an Italian variety and introduced it to the Hunter, making a stylish, food-friendly wine.
