Home Hill is a family-owned and run vineyard at Ranelagh in southern Tasmania's Huon Valley. Owners Rosemary and Terry Bennett still marvel at how their relaxing hobby farm of six rows of vines became an award-winning vineyard producing some of Australia's best Pinot Noir.
The six-hectare vineyard was planted in 1992 with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sylvaner, on grey, high-clay loam with reliable rainfall. It is a true family affair: son Sean manages the vineyard and helps Terry with careful planning and cropping, daughter Kelly runs the wine club, and Rosemary's sister Gail manages the office and functions.
The family loves sharing the property with visitors from around the world, and sees Home Hill as the perfect place to celebrate fine wine, food and friendship.
