Fifth-generation winemaker Kevin Sobels started his career with the Hardy family in Waikerie and later managed Chateau Tanunda for Seppelt's in 1967. Alongside his wife Margaret, he launched a winery in Muswellbrook before moving the business to the corner of Broke and Halls Road in Pokolbin, where it became Kevin Sobels Wines. In 2014, Sobels was named a Hunter Valley Legend.
Working alongside his son Jason, Sobels has produced 167 consecutive vintages. The Pokolbin site provides visitors with a variety of tasting options, which include a Behind the Scenes tour, a Wine and Cheese Pairing, and a Wine and Chocolate Pairing.
