Australia's first Indigenous-owned winery, Mt Yengo Wines, was established in 2016 under the name Gondwana Wines before taking its current title in 2019. The business was created by Gary Green and Ben Hansberry, and Wayne Quilliam subsequently joined the team as a director.
The producer obtains grapes from multiple locations nationwide, such as the Hunter Valley and Adelaide Hills, and collaborates with producers like Yalumba in the Barossa Valley. For each bottle purchased, 25 cents is allocated to community and arts projects, divided evenly as a royalty for the featured Indigenous artist and a contribution to the National Indigenous Culinary Institute.
