Ravenscroft Vineyard

Ravenscroft Vineyard is a boutique family vineyard and winery 12 kilometres west of Stanthorpe on Queensland's Granite Belt. At 950 metres it is one of the region's highest vineyards, where ancient granite soils, hot summers and frosty winters let the grapes ripen fully.

Mark Ravenscroft bought the 26-acre property at the end of 2002 and planted the first vines, Verdelho, in 2005. In 2007 he planted an acre of Pinotage in a nod to his South African heritage, and Ravenscroft remains one of very few Australian producers of the variety. More Verdelho followed in 2012, Pinot Gris in 2017 and Albariño in 2020.

The winery, built in 2009, has a 50-tonne capacity and its own bottling line. The cellar door opens regularly, with platters available to pre-order.
