Summit Estate is a family-owned winery on Queensland's Granite Belt, at Thulimbah just north of Stanthorpe. It was established in 1997 by a group of friends with a shared love of wine, and has grown into one of the region's most distinctive wine destinations.
The elevated, cool-climate vineyards produce Mediterranean and European varieties that suit this part of Queensland, and Summit Estate is part of the Granite Belt's Strange Bird Wine Trail, which celebrates lesser-known varieties. Its wines have won awards at regional and national shows.
Visitors can work through self-guided tasting flights, eat at Kitchen 925, relax at Sunset Sessions by the fire, bring their dog, or wander among the estate's collection of classic cars, trucks and tractors. The property is also a popular venue for weddings and events.
